Posting your reference too would be useful, although I know from the Hercules trailer that this is probably the face he made when breaking the chains :P Up to now I 'd say the crevices and tension especially around the mouth/cheeks are less defined/deep than they should.
Don´t worry mate!! Roughness map is something difficult to get right. Details are troublesome as well. In future projects you will get better results. Try to gather references about the materials you want to define and how they get damaged with the time and use. At the end is just a matter of experience.
Hey, dude I like your character designs, and your zBrush stuff is pretty solid. One comment I would have is that you need to work on lighting in your 2d stuff, it'll help define materials and give more feeling of depth. Keep up the good work!
i think it would help to have more value contrast in your models. the turtle, for example.. the whole shot is very flat and valueless. it's difficult to decern what's going on and there are no definate points of interest. your stuff seems really nice and sharp and tight, but it seems like you're hiding it.. are you?
It says you're a texture artist but 3 out of the 5 models on your site aren't textured? Definately finish all the work before applying for jobs or you'll just be shooting yourself in the foot I'm afraid. Aside from that, keep it up and add more content, model model model!!
anorexic water demon, nice. id say you really need to define the abdominal region either with some muscle or intestines. the pecs need to have a little more weight to them just more definition on them in general. i really like the spine, this is going good keep it up!
It's a total mess. You need to start over and pay attention to where you put your edges (edges that don't define anything are a waste). And make the model more than a few primitive shapes slapped together. Grab a basic modeling tutorial and work through it before you continue.
the ears look small and slightly low down, the pupils are to soft, make them have a harder edge to help define them and also consider softening the edge of the iris (it looks to hard). Its a good looking texture but the eyes really let down all that hard work. Good Stuff
Vatsel: I know this is a the noob question since I have the art pencil set for every size of shading yet prefer to use the 0.5mm pencil (mechanical) and get to shade my art just fine.. What pencil do you use for such shading? to detail in dark and defining shadow?
excuse me, guys. i will start it asap with rough sculpture and make some sketches to define his gloves, boots, etc. Brad, not sure yet) nrek, ya dood, from scratch) Haiasi, ya, did that outfit, guys from Bethesda pushed it more tho(folds etc)
