Is that because they aren't quite making contact with the shadow plane? Either way, if you reduce/remove that effect it'll help make the items pop… -

From what I gather you wanted to "copy" certain faces of a model with ctrl+c/ctrl+v? I'd advice against this workflow in Maya. There's a menu option called Duplicate Faces which you could use instead. heh well there is program working space, then there is file embedded space. Your photoshop working space is/was sRGB. The JPG is ProPhoto. Well I have been putting some work into this. This is a picture of the character in Z-Brush. I am however, re-doing the geometry in MAX.
