nope its your Radeon 2600. You're running an AGP card, you'll need to make some very cheap and affordable updates that will easily get you a nice PCI-X card with a whole lot more for video memory.
FFS lol... All this time I've been doing it the oldskool way, thinking it was the ONLY way! Huge thanks for the replies, I'll check this X-View out! Sounds like its EXACTLY what I'm in desperate need of, haha!
it is tuff, at 4096 x 4096 over 100 feet you are getting about 1 and 1/2 inches per pixel of screen res. I have to keep dividing the faces down till I get it nice and tight.
Is the barrel really too thin? I'm gonna have to check it out again. Been having some seriously problems with that barrel. And I thought that was gonna be the easier part to model. x) Oh, and thank you for the pointers and the compliment Base!
I'm using 3DSMax, with cages. For some reasons, I got some strange behavior with x-normal, especially around the seams. I must be doing something wrong since everyone else seems to have perfect bake with xnormal :(
I would propose the idea of soft deadlines. There can't be an expectation of hard deadlines when everyone involved is doing it in their spare time without payment. 'We should aim to have this wave ready by X date, 2012.' Something like that.
I dont need the offset part. Dont need it to be that high quality. rivet.mel eh? ill give it a shot. thanks mike and warheart, ill move the vert 2 inches in the positive x, and the locator will spin around 20 times.
I'll look into that as an option for the next version, though I think the math for that would be pretty intense. Every time you make a cut or remove an edge, the vertex count changes.. Makes it hard to account for, given x number of sides. :/
really good changes made here. I think you could fix that tileing background image just have it tile across x axis and then put a colour that matches the colour at the bottom of the gradient for the rest of the website background colour.
