i would love to own a tablet one day, but then agian painting textures for me is more of a hobby then a profession, but i gotta admit drawing something decent with a mouse is pretty damn hard
Just throwing out a warning as a current student (in college). That is a LOT to learn!! You may be more successful if you pick one concentration and make the other one a hobby. Regardless, GL!
Haha yeah it's tough, but it's pretty cool for a hobby! As a career maybe at some point. :) About character? As in morals? I don't disagree with that haha, not sure why that's directed at me though.
Thanks DanNC! I made a big career change in 2012 and no longer push pixels for a living. My hobbies changed as a result too, so 3D art took a back seat :)
Thanks. Yea, if anyone has the time and is interested in helping, thats awesome. Everyone here is sure to get a demo of it anyways, maybe it could turn into a small polycount hobby game or something.
Want your big break, voice acting for a hobby or trying to expand your portfolio. Looking for all kinds of people willing to do voice recordings for characters in my animation. If your interested email me at bouncingkangaroo01@gmail.com
Thanks to all for the quick replies. I'm gonna think about it, maybe I'll give Huion a try. It is just for concepts and sculpting - it's just a hobby so i don't want to spend a lot of money.
I'm in the process of breaking them all out onto different boards. Not a lot of time in my world. Full time job, two kids, an amazing wife, house, games, sports, hobbies....etc.
I don't regret it, either as a hobby or as a career. However, I do wonder sometimes what i'm going to do as I get older, as I don't see it as a field that i'll be working in forever...
I agree, if you people just put their love for game art aside and saw the work as overall it will probably wont have much attraction for it. I guess the that the burden of something that is a hobby/work.
