ZacD : Yeah for sure. I want to get everyone there as well. But I am slowly introducing features for the beginners. Jumping into the heavy stuff off the bat will scare more beginners away. Mind you everyone is welcome to take it steps beyond the reference.
yep, @ZacD is right, there are many ways you can run a patreon for sure. @cubitstudios - a shame you didnt get weapons working., You should be really proud of how natural the characters general movement feels at least, it looking really good.
Thanks for your input and support guys. @ - Vargatom, great idea! to keep this thread clean I have started a "Polycount Games Research Group" @ - Slipsius & ZacD I have added your videos to the top of the list. www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPhUFXR_rO5FsBQBxUHUiDvQfQwbQqMSE
ZacD: good choice in games, I'v been play raping borderlands the last days :) But for you 11 dollars, I was going to suggest Arkham City but I read wrong first so considering you have dollars, how about bioshock?
Looking awesome. The concept looks awesome zacD, theres actually just 2 more vertebra than usual :/ and i dont think it would be worth the effort going in and make those vertebra specific to their regions (cervical,thoracic,lumbar,sacro-coccyx)
Those are some really good tips, thanks for sharing that, really inspiring stuff. That seems like a solid workflow ZacD. I'd love to see someone approaching that. This has already been really valuable for me! I'd love to hear more ideas but Thanks Everyone!
Yeah ZacD is right, that's how I used the color chart seen in that post. Here's the terrain shader network, that some of you asked, it may be full of uneeded nodes since I iterated a lot on it from start to finish but here it is: Big ass image beware !
Seconding what ZacD said. Make sure to test your final GIFs in multiple browsers and on multiple machines to ensure correct playback. I was a web designer for years, I remember wrestling with GIFs, trying to get them to play the same way on different configs.
do what ZacD and block out the whole model. Don't do anything else until you block it all out. You can take the coolest things ever and put them all in one model, but that doesn't mean it will make it great or even good.
@ZacD I forgot about Mantle and I suppose that's a big one, freesync not so much. If they made their tech easy for devs to implement and/or made good tools for them, maybe something like TressFX would be in more than one game so far.
