Multiple space groups for the spine torso/head. So I don't have to counter animate anything. Ik stretchy legs or some form of knee correction control so I'm not fighting Ithe IK. Bend bow controls for arms legs, you can get so much more appeal with a simple curves out of a pose with a simple bend bow. If the rig comes with…
The reason for less grass is just to break it up, its extremely dense right now and there is little variation You could add higher grass in some of the parts where it builds up to show the overgrown nature of things, branches will also work well. Try to add some randomness with the grass scale as well if you can Vines on…
so knowing that yo uwant to make props. I'd probably get rid of all your 2d work, and character work and focus on those props alone. THEN i'd take the best one and push it further than what youve got. Try to measure up to the posts of other professionals here and what not. Right now none of them look finished, and need a…
I totally agree with you both. I think the problem is I've made the level too big and therefore haven't had enough time to do all the props I need. However I do have more time and will try to add more to the level :) I have sorted the lighting, ended up downloading the latest version of UDK! Took a while but was worth it.…
If you want it to look as in the movies, why don't you get a bluray copy and study the source directly? Why make it difficult for yourself. :) Production molds and the behind the scenes footage could be invaluable to get a good view from different angles.…
The site isn't looking too bad. So far I think you have a good chance at getting a 3d generalist internship somewhere. You haven't gotten there yet but soon you may want to start thinking about choosing a medium to focus on, environment art, character art, hard surface and prop art, etc. I was right there where you are…
Thanks a lot! Thanks! And to answer your question: no - This is my motivation, 1. I mostly use the normalmaps to give the props a softer look (with low amount of polys and smoothing groups) but of course, also to add more detail. But the character already have a really soft shape, compared to a sofa for example. You could…
Back again! Last week I finished up some of the smaller props and added textures to the props from the screenshot above. Comments and critiques? Today I will most likely be working on a mixture of another texture for the shack roof, some trees, and adding what I have so far in to UDK. One question I need to look in to more…
Which engine are you putting your scene together in? If it's UE4 I'd recommend doing a lightmass bake with some bounce lighting so the lighting doesn't jump to pitch black, or a subtle skylight if you're doing the lighting dynamically. Right now its kind of strange looking how some of the props appear to be pitch black in…
#5 update! Hey guys, I've been working more on this piece. I started building more props and tweaking the lighting and clouds. Started working on the wooden structures that surround the castle, even tho the walls are still placeholders. Added grass, tweaked the flowers and started listing all the smaller props and details…
