I worked in motion graphics for several years while I was working on getting into the game industry, so I can relate to your situation. The option came up after I graduated school to either attempt to find a game job out of state or get a local gig doing something not entirely related to games. The school I went to didn't…
I'm temporarily out of job for the Covid19 fallout. If there is any freelance work available out there I'm here for it. It's a tough time and we need your support. 3D Character/Prop artist specialized in modeling and texturing. Portfolio - https://www.artstation.com/kaushiksaha Email- kaushiksaha_cg@yahoo.in
Roll out of bed at 8. Breakfast, coffee, maybe some Daily Show while I eat. Polycount, new job postings, follow up emails, maybe an application Breathe a lot Get to work on freelance/personal art/hypothetical art test.
Hey that's a nice review, haven't heard of them and the product seems solid for home/freelance users on a budget (or you know...not having 1.5k+ plus to spend). Here are the current prices: 660$, 670€, 73.333 Yen, 460 Pound Sterling (as in Doctor Who money).
i'd put it at around 45k in the west, more if you can sweet talk them, if it's a freelance-contract, you can impress with your work history or if there are some extra responsibilities attached to the job. obviously never hurts to shoot for more, especially with a foreigner-bonus.
I fail to see why people would do this with 3D. I mean, i "get it" if people steal 2d vector art for example and kitbash it for a freelance job, but finishing a 3d job unless you've got the required skills seems to me impossible.
No need to get crabby about people trolling. You should have paid attention to the rules/different forums. Under work opportunities there is a paid freelance section, and a requests section if you are wanting people to work without compensation. You will get better results there.
@kohg I need to add a bit of infomations to my previous answer. The 1 year license is a"commercial AND non commercial" license wich mean --> [for any use]. [This mean that freelancers, companies, and hobbyst do pay the same price per seat for same service].
ay! :) Yeah much agreed! She's had a tough time only getting freelance gigs in film and a little work in games. Trying to switch over to games since there are *more jobs, but we have noticed the lack of game animation centered forums.
