The stats on Tom's Hardware suggest the 6800Gt is a 6800 Ultra with lower clock frequencies but samepipe count, etc. The charts also show that the 6800 takes a bigger hit from higher resolutions and more AA/AF but at 1024x768 it's no more than 20% (compared to the GT) even with full AA/AF. Good start. If I had a suggestion, it's do more 3d sketches. The great thing about mudbox is you can quickly do a lot of work. Before you dive right into all the details and texturing, try and do like 10 heads, but only spend 10-20 min on them and keep your subdivisions low. The purpose is it really lets you focus on… -

did one more for the night.. this time starting with four values, one per layer, then after the base was down i merged and added 2-3 more values. smoothed it after (just used the smudge tool.. would appreciate advice on this). not sure if I prefer the smooth or unsmoothed one of this but it didn't come out too bad this… -
