very interesting. from the first shot to me it looked initially like it was going to be some sort of Dragon Age-esque futuristic type of character. a good clash from something old and something new. im keeping an eye on this. :)
Awesome stuff, really nice. my favourite has to be the possessed girl monster. the death reminded me of the heart of darkness. the initial scenes all look turn based, but i can't figure out what game there from.

Hello people of polycount! More B&W practice along with compsotion practice. I didnt intend th add the flames in in the initial planning stage so the value got kinda messed up, but somehow tried to salvage it...
A strong portfolio will put you above the rest for sure but I think initiative goes a long way too. Join a mod or make a pretty level/character in game. That's basically the job you will be doing anyway and it is experience anyways.
It can be useful for initial blocking out and getting shapes quickly when you're just concept modeling, but by and large the boolean in Maya is not useful for actual work. I've never heard of any plugins that do a better job either.
Vic - that is not all what I said, Megascans suffered more from the personal tragedies that affected Quixrl staff, more so than DDO, hence: ddo is further along than what we had initially expected.
My suggestion is to not use prospective till you blocking Also initially will be much easy to block in straight lines later on you can do the same with curve or just smooth straight line and adjust to mach your reference
