They're looking good. I can definitely see improvement on the hair. Are you wanting to do full characters or just busts? Either way I would recommend starting with a skull. It really helps in getting the shape of the head down. If your wanting to do full characters I would start with the overall anatomy first. That being…
thanks for the feedback guys. Now i'm working on it everythings starting to make sense. Pogop i see exactly what you mean with the details and the textures going hand in hand. now i've started adding detail to the panels I am getting a clean metal vibe as apposed to the industrial look, I will still try both but thats what…
On Polycount there's this monthly challenge that you should give it a look. You get to see how ppl use different methods to start a character. We also post links to tutorials or techniques to help others along the way. You can also look up past months' challenges to see characters starting from zero to complete.…
Hey man! The props are a good start. I would say you make the modular elements of the room first (the walls, the windows etc.) Once you've done that, start with the bigger elements (mainly the sofa and the chair). I would also various screenshots of the main room in game and put them together into a moodboard so you've got…
Good start, but I do have a couple suggestions. I'd recommend framing this to a wide screen aspect ratio, even if it's going to be rendered to NTSC. Starting with something closer to the golden rectangle makes composing shots a little easier imho. There are also some continuity issues between 5,6 and 7. The robot appears…
The polygons are being booleaned because they are part of the two subtools that you're telling Zbrush to boolean. If you don't want certain groups to be be part of that operation, first split them off into new subtools and then use the new Start Groups (the arrows) so that these subtools are not part of any other grouping.…
So i'm starting to lack motivation on this on 'cause lack of experience is catching up to me, again this is my first character and just started with the handpainted stuff. Struggling really hard so i'm thinking of my options... Wrap it up, call it done... forget about it and start doing new sculpts and new characters... or…
@Rocket Brian Well I felt I couldn't come back with at least acting on something  . Again your input was great. Decided I would at the very least try sculpting and if I get nice results I'll take it back to final. So here's what I've gotten to. Just a start. Also here's the very original design. We did change a few…
I think its looking really good actually, I like the gold one, but the dark rock is definitely the weakest one. I dont think you can push it further without starting to paint in actual reflections and shadows, but then again its gonna look weird when you start moving it around. you reach a point when you just cant push…
Another project that I'm working on now that the summer break has begun...I've realised that I have a bad habit of starting projects but not finishing them, so I shall finish this one and then wrap up all of my other projects that I've started since christmas, before i start any new ones. I've heard that modeling kitchens…
