Sorry to hear about this Jesse. This sort of thing happened to me.. though not to this extent, but it seems contracts often don't mean shit. You'll land on your feet though.. Everything happens for a reason.
There is an thread that covers using hipoly models quite extensively. Right now, I can't remember the recommendation, but think it was to create an object space normal map in xnormal, and then convert that. Have a search about.
where oh where do I begin with this part.. ready to scrap this whole project and hide under a rock. Im having extensive amounts of difficulty adding the forward assist into the upper receiver
you might have to associate the file extension with the app, which is 'View 3d'. If fbx is associated with something else it might not work. Also you probably need to have the creators update installed.
I've been using IBL Baker. It only outputs to dds cube. One bug... output filename must contain .dds extension or it won't save files. Good results though ime.
Not sold on the executions. Stomping a demons head into paste is going to be entertaining, maybe, 2 times. I'd like to see dev effort expended on other things like getting more monsters on the screen.
That works in max, Per, though to a VERY limited extent. You can only use divisions. So if you put in a box dimention of "100/50", it will come out as 2, etc etc.
The advantage with source is you can throw in a custom model and play online in servers with it just fine because it only visually changes for you; I'm not sure to what extent that is true in other games
I think CG can be considered fine art. Game art being an extension of that, SOME of it CAN be considered fine art however the vast majority of it falls under just game art.
Pretty sweet, but the eyes on all characters (to a lesser extent the elf and the dwarf) are sunken in too deep, and the bellybutton of the elf is way too low. Oh and the skin color of the mage looks somehow unhealthy.
