Awesome work, always inspiring :) Thanks for the write up too, nice to see how you went about it. Didn't expect your initial 3d renders to be as far along, gave a good insight into the method you used.
No, you should certainly continue! It looks really good so far! Anyway, here is my initial blockout of the snowbase. I really struggled to get the perspective on point with some parts, particularly the semi-circular part on the right.
think you need to take a different approach than just blaming the 3d package for every issue you have, alos a little of your own initiative to fix the issues your having would be nice to see too.
ue has bi and tri filtering along with nearest for filtering, I tried out nearest initially cause i figured that would be the closest. Not familar with biasing mips. Guessing that means changing the distance at which it should swap
@cheeseplus What format do you want these beauty shots to be in? I have initially saved them as PNG but would you prefer JPG? I haven't uploaded yet, so I can still change it if needed.
Русский язык очен хорошо! (I'm such a noob with Russian..) but hey Frell, check out livemocha.com. Lots of languages to try out. Initial levels are free. Internet/text immersion there is always Pravda.ru for news and cgralk.ru for digital art.
Her anatomy looks very awkward. The exposed thighs make the torso appear extremely long, and the arms are extremely skinny in the upper arm. I like the initial idea, but I think the execution needs a bit more refinement.
I still think the initial run of the PSP is going to sell out within the first week, perhaps the first day. Well, that's a given considering Sony's shipment sizes. Even if it sold as well as the NGage it would sell out.
Maybe try to add some fleshiness to the lips, they are razor-sharp ATM. I was also liking the lips in the initial version a bit more, since they seemed more relaxed and natural. On the current version the lips are very pinched in the middle.
Oh also, I just wanted to say; while the painted props look lovely, I also really love the initial texture stage with just the "pencil" work. Could make for a really striking art style. :p
