I like this character and how you've modeled it. The textures need some more love though, the material definition is lacking(like Ged's already mentioned) and you need to define the different parts more. The face needs more tints of red for example on the nose too. Good stuff!
I agree with s33th. I would also look into defining the straps on the guys torsoe. They are really flattening out and look like that Hangover t-shirt of the baby pack thing painted on. I would suggest just taking the geo of the torsoe and popping some of it out off the chest.
I'd just add in the vertical loops needed to get rid of the n-gons around the windows. Some of those loops it might have been quicker just to select and add a bevel (smaller distance, possibly doing one level of rounding for any edges that actually define an edge)
the area across the chest is too smooth. I think the chest area needs either more defined shape, or there should be fabric stretching/folds between her breasts. She's wearing a tight suit, so that will either conform to the shape of the breasts more, or the material will stretch between them.
Lookin' gooood! Good thing you rake-baked, it's better than before. Don't forget to rake some more at the legs, they're feeling sparse on the front side (of the back legs). Are you gonna define the face structure more? Loks a litte blobby now. Keep it up!
Great work, the tiles stuck out to me as well. Given it's bent i guess it could be metal sheets or rubberish tiles??? Its really odd, the material defination isn't giving any hints. Bend just looks odd. otherwise everything looks really quality stuff!
having studied 2d animation myself, I would suggest you to use primitive shapes to define your character proportions before finalizing the lines. If you using Flash, have a rough drawings layer in blue or a light color, and cleanup the lines on another layer on top. examples
Annis Hag cames out great! I like your challenge, a hard one though. Last weak I tried ZBrush the first time, it's amazing (you working in ZBrush aren't you?) It's inspiring how you start with these 'clusters' to define the shape first. Keep doing :)
There are lots of threads on this already if you search the forums :) I have used both, Maya and Max, personally I think Max makes some parts of the process easier, however Maya is definately a solid program too, you can use both, just depends on your preference
Exploring the head a bit more. I remembered that Grifter from Wildcats had a similar kind of face mask to my character. His was essentially a loose hanging piece of fabric in front of his face. Seems to give a more defined look than having neck folds on the bandanna.
