Here is one which is a quite good measure. As you can see the Mac usage increases slowly but steadily. Sure it is not the majority, but it's almost 10%. More than Windows 8 has. But don't let's turn that into a pointless debate about Macs :) There is definitely a desire for Mac versions of nDo and dDo. -

I'm really happy how the community loves my tiny :D Spend roughly 8 hours on lvl3 tiny and the bake turned out so good, that I'm not sure if I'll spend any time on texturing. I'll check how he looks ingame and in Marmoset tomorrow and then decide. -

awesome character man. this could be a cool 3d print. I really like the texturing on the board. One thing I would say is too add a little more dirt on thhe wheels, the parts that actually touch the ground. I know this because i skated for 7-8 years. :) -

Hmm. Maybe I will upgrade this weekend then :D . 32GB of ram would be pretty nice as well. I was looking at the Intel roadmap and the next big jump would be 8 core processors for $300-$400 (basically the 5960x but not $1000); however I don't see that happening for another year or so.. -

AFAIK everything is floating point, but the current graph bit depth determines what it gets converted to and that is 8 bit by default. You can override it and have parts of a graph be higher bit depth, like the normals. Makes a big difference on hard surface bakes (SD bakes in 16bit by default). -

My math's not great by any means so correct me on this if I've completely messed it up - couldn't you fit 8 512x512 textures into 2 1024x1024 textures? So you could do 2x512x512 diffuse, spec, gloss and normals. Or for the second example, a 1024x1024, 2x512x512 and 8x 256x256? -

If any of you are wondering what the parts of the Maya scaffold I have completed 8 years ago look like, look below. Now this was made entirely in Maya without any sculpting tools. Just ordinary polygon tools available back in 2007. It will make a good scaffold for ZBrush. -

No new links on that page, just added images, and in fact removed a couple dead ones. Glad it's helpful! One solution for the curved bricks problem, is to use a curved texture! Make a short section of the arch, like 1/8, map it to geom, then duplicate the geom 8x to make the full arch.
