Looks very Impressive ! I like how i did hair on the latest post, on 2B though i think you should add a few more hair card to break the shape a liitle, but i'm also not a hair expert and i'm learning how to make proper hair on models myself.
Thanks for kind words everybody. All I did was just putting together what's there. All hard works from 3dsMaxx dev. BTW, does anyone have screen space curvature DX shader code? I really want to add that to this script. But, writing DX shader is beyond me.
I did a quick test on Max and a clean inset wont produce that error. By change you got a double vertex on the top tip? cus i got that error result when i add small chamfer on the tip. Try to clean up your model and make sure no overlapping verts.
I did some quick paintover on some edges that are not helping to define the silhouette (in red) and some places where you could add more geometry (in green): Also, what heboltz said is very true. You don't need to keep loops and stuff like that if you're not going to subdivide or deform it.
i can't clearly see from the images you posted but, have you added some kind of waves where the water intersects the rocks or the shore? or is it just lowered opacity? If you did add some sort of foam or stuff like that, could you please share the idea? Thank you!!
I really like this! It's like a classic pump shotgun and a PPSH had a baby! One thing I did notice, the end of the barrel and the holes in it might need a wee bit of creasing, it's starting to lose shape a little, but I think it adds to the effect of it aging a little. Keep at it! It looks really good!
I went back and redrew alot of objects and added some texture (I didn't want to add too much to keep it feeling simple). I also did a black & white paint over of how I expect the lighting to be (with reflections coming). Really can't wait to give this some color!
nice work so far! thought, what kind of materials are all those supposed to be? think about it. i guess the yellowish stuff is gold? right now it looks like some semi matte coated wood or something, add some nice reflection as you did with those small marbles
Thanks everyone ! Optinium -> i actually sculpted them in zbrush, i did a retopo and baked them, imported them in udk and voila =) You can see thoses meshes in previous pages Prodigga -> simply in the material, with a mask to define where to add some reflection and set a flat normal map =)
