Maybe it's just me, but it feels like you've lost some energy by removing all that cool hair that you had in first painting of new version, also head is tilted a bit up, that gives a character a bit more epic stature (lost that as well). And changing the direction of the gun wasn't a good idea too, now it's pointed…
@ZeroStrike Glad I could help with the video! And you are correct. The highlight/color pass is a cavity map mixed with baked AO, Painted in AO, Painted in details, and cracks. Also, I have been improving the water a bit since my last image and have settled with a greenish haze on it for now. Maybe At some point there will…
I really like what you've got so far. The texture comes very close to the concept. But I think it lacks of depth. I don't know much of hand painted textures, but you could try paint some noise all over the flat green. And maybe some more wood structures but less deep. The dragon looks neat! Looks great ! But on the bottom…
you do have a point but for me seems like color picking is a little bit exagerated...if i have to not pick this or that color because it has been used somewhere else then i would have to paint with almost nothing... anyway...i have to agree that painting on top of the images it is a little bit risky (i heard that from feng…
@what's_true - I have actually vertex painted some wet floor, especially near the mop bucket, but I notice it's actually quite hard to see from that angle. I reckon it could maybe do with being a little less subtle. You raise a very good point though, I think more vertex painting would've fixed that. Thanks for the crit!…

Thanks guys! Slash: Yeah to be honest theres not alot i can do about it - They wont print at such a low resolution if i keep just the frames ( based on measurements that have failed to print in previous runs ) SO i needed to close that gap up just so they could survive the print / mould / cast process! Tis a shame though…
Right, I should have mentioned a few more things that underline my statements. I just thought about discussing these things in the following and get a rise out of you guys. My take in searching for a painting on the web or my take in making a picture by myself? I think I'm a way too lazy bastard to do that for this thread.…
Hi everyone, here are my super fast (?) low-poly (?) modeling, texturing and rigging game character rendered in Unity: : My original idea is to try all the challenge's characters. The first, the fastest I can do it, the second (the vampire knight) in a more worked way and a more standard game quality; and the last, the…
@Rapture117 - Thanks man! The scene is running in UDK. As far as techniques I used for making the scene, I used 3dmotive's advanced mesh paint tutorials as a jumping off point and then tailored the materials to my needs for the floors and walls. The zbrush modeling wasn't anything very complicated, for the floor tiles and…
