Okay, here's my problem: I graduated game dev school back in '13 with flying colors, (my Capstone won an award at an expo) and I've been contracting and teaching since. Did a little architecture here, a little video editing there, some illustration over there; that sort of thing. However, now it's 2015 and I feel like I'm…
That's an interesting question, actually. Is that what keeps people going? Without the modifier stack, would anyone stick with Max? Or would you be more open to exploring other apps...
I've took the liberty of cleaning up your meshes a bit, and baked it down in SP. Note the difference between the amount of chamfering I can get on the pieces that stick out and all the inner bevels around the circles. This is down to the design of the mesh. When building with baking in mind you would know to allow more…
this environment is looking great, one thing i noticed is with these shipping boxes. in my experience they only normally put the corner bits of cardboard on the top of the pallet/stack, as the point of it is to protect the boxes from being damaged by straps when loading them onto a truck, or by straps holding them to the…
I work on Ever Jane, and I love it. Though it doesn’t make enough $ to pay the bills, and since I work remotely, its a little more difficult to grow. Not impossible, but different than being around a team of artists to grow with. The game also uses a handpainted/PBR workflow, but the things I work on can never extend…
nice Ump Mlinderholm, Only thing i would suggest is a bit more wear on the areas that mode and stick out, like the hinge of the stock and magazine etc.
[ QUOTE ] If you get stuck there, you're bound to get stuck on a bunch of other parts in the game :L| PROBLEM SOLVING PEOPLe [/ QUOTE ] I got stuck there for 2 hours, so I can understand tubboy's predicament...I didn't even realize there was a handle, I thought they wanted you to stack the barrels and climb into the tunnel…
No, this won't work for baking. But can be used to apply textures and such in painter. You could paint on all of those stacked uvs, but it'll jump around as Painter doesn't know which UV island to properly stick to.
Agreed, especially regarding the bedroom and the professor layton piece looking great. The only thing that stood out negatively to me immediately was the UV layout of the market stand. There doesn't seem to be a good reason to have the tabletops/shelves rotated at 45 degrees and have the edges stick out that way, only to…
