Thanks everyone, You all have helped solved those artifact problems... now I have ran into a skewing problem. I tired adding geometry around the problem on the mesh I was using to bake but it seemed to have the opposite of my desired effect.
yeh... they had that dev videos on the combat... wish they had not included that in the game. Shattered Memories didn't rely in combat and it was such a unique and awesome experience. I think exploring and feeling vulnerable, and trying to solve puzzles to overcome enemies should be the way to go in the future games.
When I uploaded my documents I didn't get any confirmation message, instead, Dropbox transferred me to its privacy page. Is it what it's supposed to be? That means that I uploaded my documents? Edit: Ok, I solved the problem. I'm good.
Hey, I managed to solve the shadow issue, it was only too low res, and decided that I would wrap up the project, here is the finished result! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/medieval-village-ed0b1a43-86f5-44af-a73a-1bd7cc8230c0 Thanks for all the feedback!
i solved the mystery for you :poly124: p.s. they stink http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafflesia on the other hand, some nice looking textures you are having here. they seem to be very luminous or strongly lit. make sure your scene is able to gel with the assets!
Yeees. I started to doing that: reducing UV islands depending on how far they are from the camera (if the weapons are for a FPP) or how occluded they are. But still, I had my doubts since cars would be a more difficult case for this. But this solves my wonderings. Thanks Marcus!!
Thanks for your feedback guys. It turned out that the problem was on my bumpmap. I deleted it and that solved the lightning problem! I did a little more diggin' and I was exporting my normal map using Diffuse_highQ preset instead of Normalmap_highQ Thanks for your help!
I also found that the perspective is seemingly crooked in this concept as I was blocking out. I couldn't figure out a way to get an angle showing both lateral walls as well as in the drawing. Looking forward to see how other participants solve the issue with their composition.
Sorry for the late, haven't saw your post before ! Thanks for answering :) There was a problem with my software, "remove 0 weights" didn't delete all the 0... And that was the problem, indeed :) The problem was solved by simply restarting 3Dsmax... should have done that before ! Thanks again.
There are other tips in this thread too (yeah, I've bookmarked it) http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67588 Also, you can try to install an older version of the driver, in my case 5.2.4-6 solved the persistent ripple problems in Windows 8 too.
