The contrast between the ground texture (which happens to have giant stones, project is smaller) and the all the other materials touching it is too harsh. You need to decide whether you want to stick with warmer or colder tones. The wall texture with the dripping water doesn't mix well with anything else around it, looks…
@poopipe If I'm understanding it right, in 4.26 (with RTX) I'm seeing the light span evenly across the light source's parameters: In 5.0 (with lumen) I'm seeing light emit from the actor's origin: And testing with lumen, I'm only seeing emissives light up an area if the emissives are visible. Which is still cool, but…
a crappy art asset shown in marmoset is still crappy. dont get easily impressed by the good lighting right away, look closer and you will see the true quality of art despite of the lighting. you still need good technical knowledge to make something look good in marmoset. just take a look at the material tutorials in…
Hey guys! Thought that the thread died a while ago! Unfortunately that means I haven't done any further work on the scene, but this motivates me to push it further!! 2 week vacation abroad coming first though ;( @Alberto Rdrgz - I hear you, but I grew fond of this angle and have added detail accordingly so it can become a…
I'd say it looks great. The plants and lighting give a nice whimsical feel combined with the slight haze I can see. Only crit is maybe slap a few more tall trees on the left side background, and maybe a couple in the right foreground for a sense of grandeur.
Lot of stuff happened and I put this down for a bit. Picked it back up over the summer and then put it down again for a ramp up at work... Then I paused it again so I could spend 6 weeks making my GF a gameboy game (complete with cartridge, instruction booklet and box) for her Birthday. Learned a lot doing it.…
Hey, Long time without an update here. @ajr2764 : Thanks a lot. You’re right about the flashing orange ad, I changed it because after always seeing it while working on the scene, I was like blind :p @brandoom : Thanks ! @ayoub44 : It really depends. I tried different approaches on this project. I tried going straight into…
yeah i probably wouldnt use that many direction lights. probably 3 or 4 tops, also you should make sure they each have quite a bit of difference in color and brightness, for example a bright warm color for the key light, low brightness cool color light(s) coming from the sides and a slightly brighter cool color coming from…
I am going for the forge (stylized prop). So far I did the block out and started playing with lights and adding some details. But now I realized the sides don't look quite right and might to need to revisit it. @LloydScribble what process did you follow when sculpting the statues? It looks great!
Call me utter fanboy, but when I heard Main Theme and saw Star Wars I had shivers over entire body. As for light saber. Yeah it looks stupid I grant you that. But you forget about one thing. Light saber as it is, is totally impractical. It have no weight beyond hilt, and you need literally supernatural coordination to do…
