The bake looks like it came out well, but the texturing could be better. The material for the PSO-1 optic, sniper scope, is a lot lighter metal with a grainy pattern very noticeable in the specular reflections. The wood shouldn't have a default specular reflection colour of blue, and have such a big specular difference… -

There is a bug with TB2 which fails to load true 16bit per channel color data from tiffs, resave it as a PSD and it should work correctly. You can also reduce this problem by reducing the gradiation in your normal map. The easiest way to do this is to use hard edges along your uv boarders and re-bake. But as you've found… -

The trick is to not use the same alpha all over but rather grab high resolution photos of people and grab the section of the face that you are going to detail and save that as a grayscale psd.
