There should be an option to add a prefix to your selection under the Modify menu. If you do this before exporting to FBX you can safely import into other scenes.
NO in modifier stack select your edit poly, select all faces and click hide. Should do the trick. There are other options how to do this for sure as well.
adjust the brush and stroke modifiers (enable stretch, decrease the step size... play around with some options and check out the IMM tutorials on the zclassroom / online docs)
No please not. Just add a turn to poly modifier on top of everything. This should suffice. No need to collapse anything. And invest some time to download an object batch exporter.
the bolts and ring look more dense than they really are but I might remove the bolts anyways. Using the symmetry modifier is kinda working against me too.
