Hi Spoon I'm in the same process, trying to see how fast SD can speed up your workflow :) I'd like to know why baking in SD is better than other apps as well, is there some kind of batch bake function for multiple objects?
Running on a Macintosh is definitely not officially supported, but I think the issue here is your laptop's configuration. SUITE does function on laptops, but the laptop must be set to use its graphics card instead of its integrated display driver. Try changing this and see if it resolves it for you. :)
No offense, and maybe it's just me, but the Oculous Rift displays a completely different image than what's around the viewer. And the Iron Man helmet works because there are "eye holes" that act as sensors, but without any clear indication of a sensor, this just doesn't read as "functional" to me.
I'm really digging the individual presentations on each of the planes, really well done. Looks like you maximized the hell out of the use of all the baker's functions. ;) Great stuff! EDIT: btw you've got some broken important images in your first post
well what you are saying is very true. But max has soem features that truly enhance the thing you are doing. For example. In max i can bake maps with material Ids. In maya u have to explode ur model...great for normals and but functional for AOs...
I don't know why but this reminds me of Han solo in Star Wars. I really don't know why. Great work btw. Sometimes we don't know what is the function of something. The truth is, we don't need to know as long as it look awesome.
I've managed to get a functional texture at the moment. There's still a lot of detail work to do. Once all the basic shapes are ready I will add materials (metals and such) . Here is how the gun currently looks (rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 2.08) In-game 1 In-game 2
No, you'll need to use a traditional 3d modelling program. Blender is free and can do this for you. You can't fix that normal map, the model you're baking to needs to be fixed for the normal map to function. This applies to both when baking and when viewing said model.
Sectaurs: I'm using firefox as well, and I don't have any visible controls for the animation. It is just a black bar under the animation that does function - however, there is not buttons. after a few moments, click on the bottom left and it should play - Firebert might wanna look into this.
Sure...i'll be releasing the tool next monday..it will have maya/belnder functionality.... i'll post the gum road link here once it is ready....send me a private message and i'll see how to give you a coupon /discount or even a free test maybe
