This depends on a lot of context. Target spec, art style, game perspective, personal skill, delivery / revision process... there's no way to give a simple answer. It could be days, weeks, or months.

Groovy! I'd kind of like to see some wrinkles/folds etc in some of the cloth, and maybe stronger spec hilights on some of the metal bits (boots etc). Fun stuff :)
I have raised thed glossyness alot but it seems like its not using spec information. I made the sphere with the material,lit it and the normal strength has not improved much
It was odd, we had a thread on this before, but it was deleted somehow. As far as the slate, an unofficial site posted specs and apparently it only has 256 levels of pressure sensitivity. If that's true, it's not enough.
looks nice your diffuse and spec works nicely id say that your norms on alot of props are not workin hard enough also UVs on top of barrel are squiffy, fix
