Yeah, it's not a problem when you have X profit by selling product but need to spend 2X on traffic/bandwidth to deliver it… As I said you guys should either start your own companies or send your resumes to Quixel.
That's true. I can see it being about the same kind of thing like the xNormal master thread. A lot of the same questions, and a lot of "why isn't X working the way I want" or "What's the best way to do Y".
1. THe game must be good. 2. Lots of marketing, positive media reviews and lots of advertisement. 1 X 2 = a chance for huge success, but not a guarantee. If the game is not good or the marketing is weak then the chance of success is lowered significantly. Good luck!
The way they're showing this after 1:11 is that you dont really need an "actual" simulation. If i was to do this i would simply frame x and finish the whole thing at frame y with a play at the transparency settings. and what's DMM ?
This is a pretty awesome pricing model! I know where I work ($1000 for the full pro package) X (number of artists) is a hard sell. Now I just need to start a project where we can use these tools. :)

the unreal 2.x engine has already been successfully used in a similar project to what your expectations are - take a look at lineage2 http://www.lineage2.com/. otherwise i'd recommend contacting valve on the possibilities their source engine offers.
Don't know about the turn off lights thing.. Fill hole, go to border mode, select the gaping hole, and hit 'Cap'. Shift-x is the default hotkey for constrain to edge. Snapping in Maya truly rocks, you're right.
Right, clicking off 'display rubber band' does actually get rid of the little blue line and triangle, however it seems to still ignore the X,Y,Z axis and allow you to freely move it still. Any ideas?
tried, doesnt seem to work X-Convict, i cant beleive they listed you as "additional art" even though you did more than some most peeps listed main dev. but I know the truth :D
