Awesome work m8. What is your workflow? Do you create a HP version and bake down the maps to a LP version or are you using software like NDO2 and maybe DDO? How did you do the thrusters (the flames :) )? What is the current engine and shaders? :)
To display transparency in 3DO, you need to use DDO's menu --> Add New Map --> Opacity. Adjust the settings in the new Opacity map to your particular tastes. Click on the desired object for transparency in 3DO, select the display method you'd prefer to use. That should work!
@pigart I was trying to go for more stone, so maybe I need to add more harsher edges. Its kind of similar to some of the stuff they did for Darksiders. Thanks for the comments for the first skull, really appreciated. What do you think of the goat skull?
Wow, I don't mean to second guess you but did you mean 3-5k polys? or tris. Cause that seems huge, but I'm no expert. Great advice! I will definitely try to add some wear and tear into the model before I start texturing.
Thought I'd just add this extra render i did after, This was a redshift test as I envisioned it with volumetrics but Keyshot 8 wasn't out yet and I found redshift to be noise free in less time aswell! It was relatively easy to get it working which was nice!
As of CS4 it no longer adds "copy" to the filename when you do a Save As. Whatever moron thought up that "feature" deserves to be reamed with a flagpole. On pre-CS4 versions I would just do what KP did and temporarily flatten before saving out TGA.
Did you add the ears after you created the animation layer? Could you try creating a new animation layer with the ears and see if it works? I suspect the controllers on the animation layer are not being set if you added rigging after creating a animation layer. m
i spent many attempts trying to make a brush that would speed up the application of scales but none worked, when i did this version i simply made a new layer and put it on overlay with lowered opacity. with the final version i will simply add more detail
Greetings @emekozben, incredible work here! I am really curious to how you have made the Landscape and Terrain! In some of your images we can see the triangles and polygons, which adds so much more to the scene. How did you achieve this effect?
Thank you, ya the gong was also something my wife suggested changing as well as brandoom. I will look into something more with the scaffolding but I did add a few more torches back. I should have an update this evening after I get off work..
