Nice progress, props for making this functional. I especially like the blend between skin and bone/muscle on the wings. Love Baldi's stuff and you are doing it justice so far!
just for clarity GATOR is an opperator in XSI. Its really very nice. Does blend shape transfer, UV Transfer, Rigging Transfer. Kinda like skinwrap in max but with uvs
For a last minute entry this is pretty spectacular. Colors and details are really up there, I'm not sure if it's too "busy" for a gameplay space like UT but the designs are a great blend of tech-ruins
I'd this on the edge of your UV, or is it inside a UV shell? If it's along the UV edge, no need to worry. It will never be seen on the model. Just add padding around the edges to prevent bleeding.
https://corona-renderer.com/ By far the best IMO. Its free, development is very active and it has a unique blend of unbiased/biased rendering system. For Max only at the moment though.
@Olingova Thanks for the suggestion! I'm probably going to create a separate moss material in substance and then make the blend shader in Unreal 4 so I have more control over it.
It really depends on the scope of the project and the importance of the object. You can use bones with a lot of soft skin weights, or you could morph target, blend shapes or vertex animation.
Alright, I didn't know that. Is there any tutorials that you recommend that talk about how to do that? The Knowledge Center tutorials don't talk about clavicle motion blending at all.
great work! I think that skull on the ground could use a bit more love though. It sorta blends into itself and hard to see whats going on in its current state.
Also be aware that the resolution you assign to your texture blocks in the terrain will take into effect in blending the textures. It is located up in the terrain menu bar as import/export terrain texture.
