2048 x 2048 texture sizes as a standard. Example (credits to Nix), Also, I imagine average character polycounts will go up to 40,000-120,000 (before tessellation). I'll also want to have some Global Illumination showcases.
Hit Alt+X and you'll get the typically four window viewport, Top, Side, Front and Perspective. Alternatively you can use hotkeys to switch between these or click the letter in the top left of the viewport window (passerby's is 'P' atm).
Thanks! I'm gonna do all the detailing at the end when I have the shading, colours and lighting locked down. That's my favorite part! x) Still wanna play around a bit more with the shadows and fix the anatomy on the wings.
I like version A too and it reminds me to an old fellow. Think he had a bad accident in his youth.^^ http://img.lum.dolimg.com/v1/images/image_11094f30.jpeg?height=877&width=1560&x=0&y=0
Try disabling x-ray mode on the dinosaur mesh and see if the problem persists! When you go into edit envelopes - vertices selection mode and select a bone on the bones rollout, does it have this problem as well or does it work fine?
I'm thinking an imperial beast. A combination of Deus Ex and X men (THE BEAST). Sitting down drinking a goblet of wine. Sitting on a throne. A pendant in hand and goblet on one hand. Credit: https://www.artstation.com/artist/matthewdizon/collections/43611
Finished the normal map. moving on to the texture, first ever so ill need some hard crits :D 3550 tris its on 2048 x 2048 maps right now. Will be posting more updates later. rendered in marmo
I'd disagree. I've had people reach out because they saw a render of mine on "x" site without actually being on my artstation/website. If my name or website wasn't on the images they would have never found me.
i think compared to your reference, it looks way to blurry, get rid of all the ugly dof and bloom crap and try to get the sharpness the original has, i think you're loosing a lot with all this blurryness going on :X
I think a better question (for environment/prop artists) would be more like, "what kind of technical specs do you work towards?" or "what's your pipeline like?" Great thread. Bookmarked and hopefully will need it soon! :x
