It looks as though your UVs aren't in the 0-1 UV range, though I don't ever remember getting an OBJ export error for that... Show us a screenshot of your UVs in Max.
If ZB has an error and decide's to shut itself off, then it'll usually make a back-up/recovery file, but if it's a hard crash/freeze your outta luck. that's been my experience anyway.
man going trough the hoops to get such things to properly work with maxscript all the time without it spewing out some random errors must be a pain in the ass awesome work, very impressive
Nope now its buried on your facebook page. (See attachment for error) Click go advanced and under Additional Options click Manage Attachments and upload your image with your post.
I've already found this page, but the download link redirect to a 404 error. Thanks, the script launches now ! It gave me strange results at first, but xForm reset before applying it corrected them.
Just so I'm sure I'm not imagining things, is this already in the version that's on your site? Cause I'm trying to normalize across multiple objects and it gives an error (asking to select a single object).
There is a lot you can remove in the middle here, the key here is to rotate the mesh with lighting and remove as much as you can without causing shading errors. It also depends if this mesh is going to baked?
Anyway to make it work for 3dmax 2015? Script warns about critical errors. Binding script to the key add additional Editable poly modification and doesn't turn off Show Cage option.
The next step is the heavy texturing, after editing some of the bake images to clean up artifacting and perceived errors. The grip design is still likely to change, the logo and layout are essentially placeholders at the moment.
is it possible to make a really quick and dirty example? I thought that's what I was doing but the texture sample node is giving me a float error. Even after rebuilding the mask into 4 vectors.
