Freedom from retail hell!!!!! ...but I assume this will only get worse, especially after x-mas. (Oh dear god, boxing day...) Sooo... I'll take the popular vote of a job :D
if you want to have more than 35 images without paying try shownd.com if you want to have unlimited images and more layout freedom then there's free sites like weebly or wix out there.
I know what you mean, but to borrow a phrase, "freedom isn't free." In short, good citizenship requires a constant vigil. Apathy works against us all. Anyhow, just a personal aside.
Pencil is the only medium that gives you a total freedom on subject/forms/proportions etc.. That's my opinion and that's why I am actually studying hard to overcome my actual poor sketching skills...

there was a rts unit thing once on cgchat...that let people enough freedom to do what they want (characters, environment, vehicle), is lowpoly, and vast enough to put an additionnal theme... I second MoP on enviro

Going fully 3d gives ultimate freedom with the camera. If he wants to do it so bad and there are people who pay him to do it then what the hell? And i personally belive that there is huge future for relistic looking 3d movies.
Definitely increase the amount of sides of the cylinder, most FPS "weapons" are around 8,000 now. That doesn't mean you have to use 8k, but you do have a lot of freedom polygon count wise to make it more round.
I wonder if Irrational had this problem with Freedom Force. there were certainly a lot of characters by Marvel, DC and any other comic developer you care to mention wandering around on the multiplayer servers last time I checked.
