I spend some time working on the other pieces of the set. I also reworked the axe a little. Currently I've got the helm, tusks, armor and axe working. I've been experimenting with colors, let me know what you think!
Yeah, you're right. How's this? I also tried to fix the neck issue and axe issue, still haven't gotten to the feet. Haven't had much time so there's just some quick changes, both the neck and the axe probably need more love.
Thanks, yeah I wasn't sure what to put there instead of the axes, adding another torch would be too much maybe. Initially I was making this as a Tusk hud, but since the sigil and axes appear only on 16:9 I changed my mind.
Hey people! So I began making an axe for Axe. After some progress on it, I thought I'd like to make it into a set.. so I'm making a workshop thread with the hope of finishing it. And also to hopefully get some valuable c&c. Here's some progress shots of the weapon. I've been staring at it for a bit too long now, so c&c…
Here I'm looking into the typical weapon designs that this race usually uses and it seems there is no shortage of curves in their blades and another thing to note is that they fight with a variety of weapons including "two-handed swords, great scythe-axes or pole-axes" as it is described here on the Games Workshop webpage.
WOW! this is just sick. Amazing sculpt (both on Grom and on his axe)! The only thing that is bothering me is the handle of the axe. The "thick" parts look bloated. What material are you going with here, wood wrapped with cloth? The crevices should be more discrete in my opinion:
Shattered Axe of the Vanquished by Boonta Completed Axe for Centaur Warrunner. Currently at work will throw up some process images later tonight if i remember. Really hope we get a polycount chest happening. Has there been any word from valve? great seeing everyone's items, some nice entries coming in! keep it up…
Sweet rig! Good job on the axe btw.. 1 suggestion, when modeling make sure you don't have any N gons like Top of your post on your axe. where it leads up to the top and theres no edges.. always shoot for quads or tries :)
Hello ! My setup is highly customized, in part inspired by habits from both Max and Maya while also keeping it compatible with Blender unique systems (like the off-hand manipulation discussed above). I started by first using the default keys and navigation for a while, then modified them manually to have Maya-style…
Thanks for the input katana. Once I finish this piece my goal is to go back and finish the other two axes in the concept. I figure when I do that I will also touch up the textures of the previously made axes as well. Some more progress on the desert props.
