I found the problem. I installed a program called Start 10 last year by Stardock, it helps customise your start menu. I was getting irritated by the tiles so I simplified it. Anyhoo I did a clean boot and when I disabled the service it didn't flicker anymore. Seems it was clashing with the update. Looks like I'll have to… -

It might be enough for you, I currently have a 2560x1440 monitor, but would not get a 3440x1440 one just for more horizontal pixels, I'd rather go the next step straight to 4K (I was looking at a Phillips 40inch 4K display). You could make his shoes abit more pointy, it's gone make him look like he is faster and slicker. But looks like a nice start, keep it up. -
