I've got CS4 EX, which was an upgrade from CS2, I will never touch CC, not until they let us continue to use the apps after the sub ends (which is what epic have done)
Toolbag 2 does not support render passes at this time, it does however support alpha/background transparency. In general, TB2 is geared at creating awesome presentations for your models without having to composite in another app.
It would be great if TB2 would support 16 Bit PNG files, because many Artists work with PNG. For me, PNG is the way to go, because it has a lot of benefits. Please add 16 bit :)
I learned both zb2 and zb3 (a few months later) from watching cannedmushrooms video tutorials. He's not the greatest artist, but certainly knows how to teach: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=53087
I'd be very interested in this as well. I've been looking for some professionally set scenes and shaders. Similar to the recent TB2 demo, that sort of project files would be massively helpful.
Google put some money towards getting PS cs2 and 3 to run better in WINE recently, so that's pretty cool as well. Still, it's far from ideal obviously.
Thanks for the feedback, Axxic : Haha, there was one? TB2 and Quixel are indeed an awesome combo, I really like working with those. I will try my best for Planes Hair, I am not so good at that atm. :D
Try sub-dividing the floor plane before you import it, there is a max to how many times it will sub-divide in TB2. Also, you could try parallax mapping instead, swap the normal map model to parallax.
Tree of Savior CBT video, This game is so beautiful, and the music. It's totally what we were expecting from the creator of Ragnarok <3 A real Ragnarok 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4qJnP4ZZnY&feature=youtu.be
Some renders (of an asset I textured for a Digital Tutors course) done in Substance Designer using Iray in the 3D view (internal build) : And another one done in TB2 in a manga/comic book style (same textures):
