I was hoping to get http://www.3dmodelprinting.com/ to do it, but there are loads of places, just search for rapid prototyping. For the US http://www.3darttopart.com/ seems really good and cheap, i've seen some prints by them and they look cool! Im sure rockstars seen them too. Yeah ill try and get some more folds in…
completly agree with Spark there. And I don't think that making it a 1 vs 1 match will destroy the team feeling. No one is arguing against good criticism, paint overs, suggestions... but 2 people working on the same entry... doesn't seem fair. Unfortunatly good concept artist are rare on these mainly 3D forums ,there are…
3DArttoPart is pretty cool (and local to me, if I recall). When I was QA'ing at Maxis / EA, one of the Urbz character modellers had all the main characters from the game printed out and setting around his desk, including the dude walking his pitbull.
One of the modelers here has tried cloth sims and zbrush, but prefers modeling the creases by hand, for better control. I agree, and I think the results speak for themselves. Here's one of his models, shaded: http://www.3dartisan.net/~kuman/wip/opera%20final%20geo.jpg Wireframe of the hands/sleeves:…
Theres no muscle structure here, the face is only identifiable because it has eyes and a mouth. The mouth is way too long and shapeless, it should look more like a stretched out heart but you mouth just looks like flat lines. Not to mention the edges of the mouth end in points, this is no good for modeling. The side view…
Recruitment Method 1. Create a Recruitment Plan. This plan should include places where you could capture the interest to potential developers. I am using teamups.net, indieteamup.com, and indiecg.com. You can make a custom page so that all the project pages made on these sites can link to a central hub page. You can also…
well done getting the model done, the metal has improved too, yeah the lighting and shadows dont look finished yet - theres hardly any contrast between light and shadow. try using some interesting lighting reference and seeing if you can replicate the look, for example stuff like this is cool…

Well, "practical" could mean many different things. I am with Computron - it seems extremely promising so far and the various (small scale) tests being posted look great but who knows if it will turn out to be useable on full pieces. Maybe scenes will slow down to a crawl and require a lot of freezing of the MF meshes ;…
