Looks like a driver bug or something to do with occlusion queries; it looks like it happens when the hourglass moves in front of the objects. -

I dont know quite what you mean? You can get Vray for Maya now if thats what you are querying. -

I don't like JIRA. Finding bugs/tasks assigned to someone else is a 40 click process. When it could easily be a single query. -

@brurpo Those arealight corners can currently not be queried inside ShaderFX. They would need to be added (had no idea they were exposed to the API to be honest!) -
