looking for some feedback to help me make this look its best. This is a quick screen grab from UDK. Is there a way to get better quality from UDK? really not happy with the shadows. Just have a basic light. Textures are still WIP and the materials look like crap. I'm kinda green and looking for good crit and advice. My…
@Razorb I like them all. :} But if I had to choose, I feel like 02, 06, and 17 work really well. They feel pretty solid and I really enjoy the prominent curvy parts in 02 and 06 that break up the silhouette. So I've been doing mostly high poly lately for class assignments. :D Still WIPs except the lantern head.
Hi guys, I'm new to ploycount. I heard about it from the IGDA talk with Adam Bromell. I recenlty decided to learn Zbrush and well its a bit overwhelming but starting to get a handle of it. This is my first sculpt and I'm having some trouble with Hair. Comments and critiques and helpful tutorials are very welcome :D (if it…
seriously solid work Nick! Especially love that thumbnail of the car jumping towards the boat awesome bust sculpts haikai and prototyp3... and great character swizzle, the cloth pattern in the spec map was a genius touch shameless crosspost from my wip thread... haven't given the WAYWO any love in a while. Sculpt is based…
Looks nice brandon! I think you spec needs a little adjustment - for example at the base the rust seems to have the same spec as the paint around it. Maybe a gloss map? Just finished baking this and got myself started on the textures. It's part of a larger scene I've been working on, so wip thread due soon! edit: here!…
Rooster, really loving your work. Sean VanGorder nice, convincing tech. Awesome work needs glue, I love ma.k. All that stands out is the edges around the HL 375 box, they're really sharp compared with the rest of the model - maybe a little solder around it? More tactical shooty work. Each head has a 256 diffuse, body is…
WIP Low poly pillar thing at 835 tris. (350 on the pillar) it's from the WoW cataclysm concept art book. (i'll post concept soon its not on the internet it seems) crystals are more of a placeholder then anything at the moment. any crits? also i'm wondering if it's worth keeping the bevelled edges, i hear they help make it…
Everything here is looking really awesome. Piflik - Nice trees! I assume you used alphas for that? I'm still trying to find out how to apply alphas in marmoset. benji - thanks for the tip. I do agree with you and fortunately the torso is only needed to place the clothing so you won't see it anyway. Here is an updated WIP,…
Basically, I started with random fine and deep strokes (look at the first wip pic). For this I use silva's brush, you can get it on zbc. Then I filled up holes and gave a more road like aspect with the clay tubes brush using a square alpha. When the forms were too boring, I just added larger or finer strokes, still using…
love that concept betelgeist! jims: very nice so far, i think she could use a little more contrast/color variation in the skin especially in the redder parts like the lips and ears. also that shaved hair looks way too undefined atm and the stretched tattoos on the neck could also use a little more definition millenia:…
