Hello Polycount family, I'm looking for some recommendations for either a 2-in-1 tablet laptop or powerful tablet that can handle Zbrush and Photoshop with ease. My reasons for getting this portability as opposed to putting the money towards a desktop is because I travel a lot for work and spend a lot of my time in…
I had a large tablet once and I hated it. It dominated my desk and it was awkward to put in my lap if I was moving it around for comfort. The smaller tablets work best for me. I normally use my Cintiq21 for stuff but for portability I've had an Intuos 3 for the last couple of years and it has done me nothing but justice.
Memory: I've tried it, it seems really nice. It was one of the programs I was deciding between for concept art, and Manga Studio's feature set made it win out over SBP. I think SBP really shines on something like a tablet though, so If I ever get a wacom-enabled portable computer/tablet I'll certainly give it another go.
That's my personal experience too. Because I'm Ray Frenden. Heh. I've reviewed and Quick Look'd some new tech that uses the same UC Logic digitizers as the Monoprice tablets since. Check: http://frenden.tumblr.com/post/44243131746/huion-10x6-tablet-unboxing-using-the-same AND…
is anyone using it? are any of the products good? I recently started looking for a nice portable tablet with a pen to draw on, Like a digital sketchbook that you could use where ever you are, or use to sketch down quick ideas on a meeting. so my question is, does anyone have any tips, things they have tried or is it all…
Wacom Bamboo's are great to start out with. I just bought myself a new one 2 weeks ago and i've been using it every day now almost forgetting i got a cintiq 12wx standing around somewhere :p . I've always liked the bamboo tablets , i think they are the ideal size to work on and are great when it comes to portability. Maybe…
I got a small tablet for portable sculpting and tried Nomad. It's quite decent; the brushes don't really function the way you'd expect coming from ZBrush, though, at least to me. Took some adjusting to. But being able to rotate the model any way you like just by touch is extremely convenient. Especially if you switch on…
why do you want a cintiq? if you want to make textures then you can largely ignore the rest of this post if you want to draw and paint lovely pictures then it might be useful... personally i find the 12 and now 13 inch cintiqs a bit of an awkward proposition I've always been perfectly happy on the A5 intuos tablets but i…
Well, not really. The only good option is a Tablet PC, which are fairly common and often come with digitizer pens (HP uses Wacom tech) but at the same time, have very few pressure levels compared to a normal Wacom--generally 256 pressure levels. The tablets can be expensive, but you can use them as a laptop too and they…
I think one of the main reasons Surface exists is to push out the Windows platform onto tablets. I think because of this you get a little more bang for buck. If you look at the power and price compared to other tablets/ultra book solutions its fairly competitive. Although it will always be slightly more expensive because…
