thanks certain things i agree with and also have been trying to figure out some things in html script which i am a noob to. Resume and Cover letter will be up soon just havent had a chance to get to it. thanks for the feed back ill take it in to consideration.
hmm.. gotcha So I think for the special cases when using counter-clockwise order is restricted there must be a script or something that reorder UV texture coordinates wich are stored on the surface mesh for a particular face without physically flipping the whole UV shell on the U or V direction.
you guys should grab this, afaik its not considered a cheat or anything, just a couple client-side scripts that chill movement out a little indoors and around corners. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMsRa-7Zb0U"]STMovement - Collision & evasive fixes for ArmA2 - YouTube[/ame]
Start here: http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Components/gui-Basics.html Read up as much on how to make a GUI as you can find. Then have a script that has something like if(Input.GetKeyDown("Escape")) { ShowMyGUIBox(); } where ShowMyGUIBox() is your function for building and displaying the box you're asking about.
Thanks Arcanox, the axis constraint did the trick. Still seems like a lot of work dragging the first vertex to the 2nd vertex you want to align to, especially if there are lots of verts involved. I dunno if they have a Max script that makes this more efficient but I guess this will do for now :/
I've seen some really nice stuff made with Gamemaker, but I'm sure you'd need to learn some of the scripting for that. If you're not wanting to mess with any type of coding you're going to be pretty limited, but Gamemaker seems to be a good choice for that (I haven't used it much myself, though).
I still haven't found a way around it :/ I just offset one, then quickly go down my layers hitting CTRL+F on each one. It repeats your last filter. I remember finding a script for it once somewhere but it quickly stopped working for whatever reason.
does mudbox support any scripting languages? Havent tried mudbox in a while. The one thing might b e an issue of the top of my head is the bring modeling app into focus. gonna dig around. Found the sdk: http://download.autodesk.com/global/docs/mudboxsdk2012/en_us/index.html
Thanks for all the comments. Awesome work, as usual, Carl :) Started working on the UI for the editor so that we can start properly building levels and creating/scripting missions. Very nice looking! Did you use the Unity Terrain to shape and paint the terrain? Did you manually place the grass / plant cards? or is there a script in unity that will draw these these within a certain distance of the camera? I am very curious and wish to attempt creating a scene like this myself.
