This time, a few Low poly-ish flowers (variations around an initial design), inspired by one from the garden. Done in around 4 hours, played around with re-use of elements and vertex colors. Sketchfab link: https://skfb.ly/6KXWU
Fixed! Using FBX2013 it is broken. Using SBM it works. Initial tests show that exporting the low from max as SBM -> xnormal for bake and then fbx -> udk doesn't work, the normals are jacked up. So after trouble shooting is HAS to be fbx2013.
Ootrick, glad the tutorials were helpful. I really need to create a new series as so many features have been added to the program since I created those initial videos. Sorry don't know anything about batching.
I totally agree with ceebee here, get him to learn the hotbox/marking menus. When you initially start using it,it feels a bit awkward, but once you know where to gesture,it speeds up your workflow quite a bit...
I was initially doing a MFA and I started researching professors with MFA/MA degrees. And it really didn't seem to matter. I think your years of exp is more prestigious (and with some accreditation will count). Ultimately for me the MA was a better fit.
In xnormal is always a good idea to use 'average normals' (in depth explanation in the xnormal read-me - pictures - yay :) ) I don't know if this will really help your initial problem - but you can try using a cage instead. Couldn't hurt... :)
Even more frustrating is when you get someone from a company that you didn't even apply to express interest in hiring you, but they don't even respond to your initial reply. I'm still trying to figure out how that works.
UPDATE: additional credits: smart triangulate (Mynglam) // xn output base (orange duck) // morphexport (svartberg) Ironing out the initial release..Looking for moderate to advanced modo users that wanna give this a go and help test. Please PM. Thanks!
Well, talk about information overload. Thanks for the very thorough answer. I will definitely look through the links. Meanwhile, I believe my initial assumption to be somewhat true after reading your answer and will continue to model based on that. Thanks!
Anno 1404 had its drm removed as a patch post release. I wonder if that will be the case tgis time I wouldnt be too concerned about drm if i knew it would be gone once the initial sales had been secured.
