^^^ Oh man, that's pretty sweet! One crit I have is that his run animation leading up to the jump looks a little tip-toey. It would be cool if there was some sort of blend between a solid run cycle and then an almost stutter step before he leaps into his dive. But cool project! and thanks, Callesw for the comment on my…
In response to the critique that all my heads look the same, I'm taking steps to remedy this. So I worked up a head based entirely on references from one actress & tried my best to override my habits. Critiques appreciated. Extra points if you can guess the actress, but I don't really expect anyone to. Maybe with more time…
Hey guys, soo much great stuff here. Its really intimidating but I'm gonna post this up anyway. Its not 100% done yet but I need to step away from it for awhile and work on something new. Feel free to make any comments or critiques :) I could use some input from people more experienced that myself.
The Shadow seams come from your Lightmap UVs. You have to make sure that your UVs are on the grid perfectly. If you are using maya you can click a UV point and move while holding "x", you will snap to the grid. Doing this step and making sure you give your UVs enough spacing apart will get rid of the shadow seams.
Learning how to do some Vray stuff: Still super sloppy, barely know what I'm doing; but here's the first render I did that didn't look like complete poo. (Hopefully getting some help from some friends in high places to help me tweak). Next step is to learn Hair Farm. Give him some eyebrows, and hair n' stuff.
I want to end up being able to put out the kind of quality seen in Blizzard Games. Nice work Jramuauri!! Love the look and feel :) With the incredible Diablo III footage that's been released I've been inspired to make the monk in 3d and hopefully also animate some killer flying kicks! Here's where I'm at so far. Next step…
Thanks alot Chai, It's amazing how these basic things can totally escape you when you've been looking at it for so long. I think alot of the proportion stuff was due to the perspective of the screenshot but it was still a little off. Your comments made me step back and take a fresh look so thanks :) Here's an update from…
I'm in a SGD class and the teacher wants us to get over fear of putting our student work out to the community so here we go... My first humanoid character. Modeled in Maya. We haven't been given much real instruction in Zbrush but I wanted to learn it so I watched tutorials and managed to learn enough to get this out. Of…
Spent my free time over the last few days doing the new ZBrush Bust tutorial over on 3D Motive (http://www.3dmotive.com/training/zbrush/sculpting-a-character-bust-in-zbrush/?follow=true). My guy didn't QUITE turn out like the concept but I had a lot of fun making him anyway. I took it a step further and attempted a hand…
Hello! I've been away from any art related work for a year and half and now I think it's time for me to get back on it! I'm trying to learn the new stuff and remember the old one. So critics are really welcome ;) Working on a dragon first, very early so far as you can see, but I plan to follow all the process to a final…
