so i got a comment on the size of the legs. i had originally wanted a somewhat stylized character with some realistic detail. made three variations. first one is the original. which one would work better?
So...much...greatness in this thread. Very humbling! My contribution is a stylized beer barrel (my first hand painted prop!) The barrel alone is 236 tris, and the with the stand it comes to 420 tris. Texture is a 512x512 diffuse map.
cross post alert! CHUN_LI [WIP] my first (and never ending WIP..) model. roughing out the clothes. gonna shift the boobs down slightly, they are too high at the moment. head: is based on this with some stylization (bigger eyes..):
@Duncan thanks man and damn dude you must be workin on stuff 24/7, every time I check this thread you've got a new project :P Spidermans lookin solid, love the stylization. Callin it done
Looks sweet Jeremy! I love it! @StevenEgan: Awesome likeness! I immediately saw Agent Smith, haha. Also, a puppet! And the high poly sculpt, still in progress. Feedback is appreciated! I haven't done many stylized characters.
Working on a stylized Weapon. Its a mailbox axe mod with mini flamethrowers to heat up the front blades. totally practical. Concepts by my friend. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25440118/mailbox8.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25440118/mailbox7.jpg
Sure thing: http://www.mr-chompers.com/3d/skuli_constr.jpg Texture: http://www.mr-chompers.com/3d/skuli_tex.jpg (50% reduced in size) I took the photos, wanted a stylized directional light source that was still clear to read and wouldn't break the shader too much.
Super sweet shader Swizzle.Would love to see it in full action .Would you be sharing how you did it once its done,I'm pretty sure people like me who loves stylized and illustration type renders would find it useful.
Still working on this guy. I haven't made armour or clothing before so it has been a learning experience! His hands have torn up gloves on but you can't really see them in the render. He is meant to be a tad exaggerated but not as stylized as in Darksiders 2 :)
@Oskar!: Dig that creature. Great job! Dug up an old concept of mine which I'd wanted to take to 3d since I made it. Design needs some refinement though. Aiming for a tad more realism but still keeping the stylized flow of the forms, particularly the limbs.
