Oh man, it makes so happy to see this thread pop up from time to time. Congrats Ninjas!!! I moved to Edmonton from Toronto back in February, and I decided that new city = new start. Not just for work, but health in general. It took a bit to fall into place in my new surroundings, so I didnt start the health thing until…
Very cool thread, never noticed this one! Wesley: Thanks for posting that. I have just started getting back into the gym, having just finished school, and would like to shed the pounds I gained in the last 2 years, and then keep going from there. I was planning on doing mostly interval training, what with HIIT being all…
hmm, i'm about 6ft and at my worst, i was 352 lbs but over the past 1/2 year i've dropped to 302-308lbs, which is the weight i've held the past month or so. but i'm looking to hitting 297 lbs within the next month or so.haven't drunk soda in years, and generally thought i ate pretty healthy, with junk like chocolate and…
for the most part i dont think ill give up really anything that ive had.. but just making HUGE adjustments on how much or how often id have it. beer for example. instead of having 2 beers with a lunch (usually thursdays for me).. ill have 1. fast food.. as little as often but instead of my usual amounts ill only eat maybe…
today was a pretty big milestone for me. ive been trying as hard as possible to manage my diet and keep shedding pounds but no matter what i eat (or dont eat), i was at a solid 2 weeks or so without any weight change. today i stepped on the scale and saw for the first time in a long time, 188.5lbs (a drop from my stable…
205 lbs / 93 kg - ~5'8 / 176cm joining in. Aiming to get down to ~170 lbs. I exercise quite a bit because of my hobby Tricking [look it up in youtube and a name you might know Anis Cheurfa (tricker who played Rinzler in Tron Legacy)] and MMA sparring with a friend. So I guess I just need to lose the habit of drinking lot…
Thats awesome Slipsius! keep at it. im still maintaining my 180-183lb weight that i reached after my "vegan" diet. sort of feel like im in a rut. Ill work out between 2-3 times a week during my lunch hour at work.. either going to the park to run and do calisthenics, or going to a gym to lift weights. either way i dont see…
yea cutting out soda definitely did help. One thing ive sort of been doing to slowly replace it is drinking flavored seltzer. It gets that carbonation fix (especially if you mix it with juice) and its not AS bad as soda. But ultimately ive been trying to switch from soda to iced tea. Instead of having 2+ cans of soda a…
Just discovered this thread! Awesome stuff all. Keep at it! I too have recently decided (about 2 months ago) that I needed to do something about my weight. This job can really get to ya sometimes... I was at 216lbs when I decided to do something about it. I just want to say that for the most part I have not been able to…
Also one big thing I forgot - snacks. Loads of people start counting their calories for their meals, but will almost never include snacks. I personally love those small raisins (sultanas I think) and so I get one of those dried fruit mixes and snack on them. Super healthy and good for your digestive system. Can also have…
