Aww, I dunno its perfect for something like that latest one, gives the whole character a meditative feeling. I can see that I wouldn't work for some faces, but its definitely, like the upside down cross, a perfect calling card type motif
New to this forum, so I thought I should just post the latest thing I've done. Not commissioned art by any means, but for fun. Based on the original Landstalker into (hence the kind of 'pudgy' main character). Need to make his armor leather instead of steel, though.

So - I've just been made redundant, which means I have time to work on personal stuff for my portfolio again! A big Boo and Yay at the same time! So here's my latest WIP character - punky, burlesque, stripper, vampire-infected, vamp hunter...with boobs.
Been doing more small projects, trying to focus on material definition; working on my weakest area. The latest one is this stick grenade, I think I might have boosted the contrast on the wooden handle's specular detail a bit much, it's not looking as uniform as I'd like it to. It's all part of the learning!

Latest work on my Maschinen Krieger piece. High poly all set up now, need some more work on the pilot and minor edges here and there but mostly done. Will take a break over the next 2-3 days to work on my theatre then back on to get the low res and bakes done.
