Well I was going to stop after doing this robots leg but then I deiced fuck it and just finished the rest of it ha :) Had to change a few things most notably the grill as the concept has a flat grill but on curved skull which couldn't actually happen when turned to 3d. Original Creature Box Concept
organizedchaos - Sweet! nice sculpt, I've been practicing with some paul richards stuff too hahaha. i had already done the nuclear skull face dude, and when i saw your post i had to try out this other little dude :P two speedsculpts from me (based on Paul Richard's work)
jarrede : Awesome zombie, looking forward to see the rest :) Dan! : Nice one! is it finished? Jeremy-S : haha i see you're making another one of Joe Mad's characters (if that is his work),tough one since he's drawn from side view, hope you manage to pull that one off would be kick ass . As for face just make him some sort of…
Was going to post this in the speed thread, but it took me 2 hours to do, so meh, posting it here [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThqC4McxqkY[/ame] First time I've ever tried sculpting a skull, and also first time I've ever sculpted something using a primitive (just created the sphere in mudbox and went to town). I…
Great tips. In fact, I wasn't trying to be super accurate to your concept, so I was a bit lazy about the edges. The skull wasn't modeled to me, I just grab one already done that I found on web. Wood isn't detailed in fact, this is color bump from Zbrush material. But as I want to learn modeling properly, I'm goingo to make…
@Rens: Agreed. totally get what your sayin. I realise these studies are rushed and my anatomy isn't right. but what i've found in doing these studies is that my workflow in ZBrush has improved massively. I have been learning bits about anatomy and i realise i'm not spending any time to understand the forms. I have been…
Ganemi - actually there is a fair bit wrong, the ears just don't sit on the head right, not enough geo to make the shape and the eyes don't really sit well in the skull. I would just double check the basic structure. the bottom lids are just thin sheets, not enough volume and the top lids don't overlap in the corners. Line…
So, I don't post often, but several people have been telling me that I need to be posting my stuff somewhere - figured this is a good place. I started these speed sculpts with a friend of mine, just to try to speed myself up. All of these are about one hour of work, plus or minus about 15 minutes due to students asking…
wow fuse: great superman, lovel work you've done there. maybe its just me but is the left part of his haircut just a bit too flat on his head? I tiny bit more volume to seperate it more from the skull might work better, but maybe its just a thing of texture spitty: great use of dynamesh, such a cool hillbilly sculpt…
Hahaha, yeah the folds feel like a bit of an overkill. I need to grab some reference and see if i can fix that. The helmet is based on the concept for halo 3 and those are quite thick. Which also makes sense, if you look at how wide the skull is, and add good layer too it. It is true though that my helmet looks way thicker…
