phew lowpoly mesh finished, and normalmaps baked. let me know what u guys think 1024 for the head, 1024 for all the clothes. hopefully be <6000 with the hair max viewport grab
still slowly plodding on this mech. the missle pod is mostly textured, the cannon just got to lowpoly and maps, the rest is still in progress high poly, and the darker areas in the torso are just block in ref.

A redesign of the old Quake enemy Scrag. sculpt, lowpoly and uvs done, now to textures. (realtime render on the lef bottom corner done in blender, couldn't get shadows working properly in Marmoset Toolbag.)

I think jumping into high resolution sculpting is too early for you mate, maybe keeping it lowpoly while focusing on anatomy and form would help you grasp the fundamentals before you make the jump to high res ?
sectaurs, neat stuff had to wait the day, so i started this old electric car from around 1900. still missing stuff, im not after a 1:1 copy, to lazy for that. maybe ill do a lowpoly too.
Currently working on a gun from the old '80s anime, Saber Rider. Got the highpoly done (with a few details missing which I will be adding to texture when I get to that) and working on a lowpoly now. Colors are just guidelines for me.
Got a lowpoly and some textures happening :D Is 50k too much for a plane? :P (just to iterate, I know a couple of areas I can cut a huge amount of polys without losing any detail, just have to do a presentation tommorow :P )
Yeah Hal, those edges are too sharp, they won't read when you bake it into a lowpoly. Also the texture feels awkward, lots of colors, and the small bits could probably be baked in the texture of the table or a floating plane. Just my 2 cents, anyway :P (lol)
