Test by Pitiwazou of the new hard surface workflow with Bool Tool, Hard ops, Assets Management and few drivers : @mmaaxx : what's your feeling about the add-on?
This might be of interest for those of you looking to get into Blender, or those wanting to use Blender on a Surface Pro: [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viR0a3HMtLg[/ame]
The last letter seems to be missing from that Bake Cursor link - https://gumroad.com/l/IESDi Looking extremely useful !! [edit] - ha, oddly enough here on 2.8 (2019-03-02) I am not getting the proper surface orientation when placing the cursor on a surface - hence not getting the correct transform after clicking Bake…
That depends what you mean. If you want to simplify curves you can use blender buildin -simplify curves addon. I could also write custom function for that, in HairTool I guess. But for now I have to find way to align spline point to surface normal. About build in surface sketching - I was trying it, but it was usually lot…
@Blaizer OpenSubDiv is not a toggle. In 2.8 the entire Subdivision Surface modifier has been ported over to use it. That is also the reason of the loss in performance. They still have to add some optimizations.
Can you tell me what theme and font that is, really liking the minimalist style. Otherwise well hyped for the hard surface tools, can't get enough of them these days.
Wouldnt it be possible to determine which mirrored side is set to receive the most colour and just use that for the QuickEdit application (voiding/overwriting the smaller amount used on the other mirrored surface(s) )?
Totally. the surface tools were a step in the right direction. I still find it better than 3D Coat sometimes for retopo work. I cant believe theres no smoothed preview in 3dc.
I've not had that, but have had a similar issue: sometimes 'l' for selecting the entire surface stops working for me. Everything else seems fine, but 'l' just stops until I restart Blender.
