Well @kio , I must say I wasn't expecting it to work *that* well ! Excellent stuff, and so simple. Much thanks ! Is there some clever way to mute the "Realize Instances" node directly from the 3D viewport (to act as a final preview toggle, allowing to work on the assembly at full performance without the remesh slowdown) ?
@pior I definitely remember seeing it but I don't remember what it is, I was thinking hardops ,meshmachine or one of these but I can't find it in the wiki and I don't own them so...
One last thing. When I create an edgeloop, sometimes my "Factor" setting is set to 1 automatically and I have to change it back. Not all the time, but sometimes. Why does this happen and how can I avoid it. I would like it to be on 0 all the time unless I tell it otherwise.
Yeah, I got familiar with the basics of it a little while ago when creating/sorting out sculpting brushes, but I definitely didn't have the intuition to think that it could also apply to unpacked images textures aswell. Pretty useful and powerful stuff !
Hello, for work I need to switch from maya to blender. I wanted to ask some general tips in transfering. Ofcourse I am learning through tutorials as I would with any diffrent software. But I wanted to ask about hotkeys for example. I know that I can use maya shortcuts in blender but I am not sure if it is a good idea ? I…
@Udjani iirc it's not a new thing. For 270 degree angles and steeper it is mostly not an issue. It starts below 12 segments already but gets more obvious the more segments you have and it depends on the "bevel flow" as well. The rare cases I used it, setting the profile to ~0.6-0.66 helped, depending on the model.
