Alright I think I'm good to go. I did what Soldeus suggested on with a few adjustments, bridging, etc. I managed to get a base to start high poly modeling with. TY.
Thank you Perna, I think your middle topology is the best, has nice transition in corner, no pinching etc. But challenge will be how to achieve this, because I don't know where to start.
@Varravik can you please share a screenshot of the object you're modeling whether background image - reference...etc or even a brief description because it's really for me at least, unclear what you're trying to do?
the point is, that in some way Dynamesh sucks (revolutionary feature indeed <3) regarding topology, and yeah for a short time Zremesher can save your life, if you want to use T-pose, etc...
Think I've got this looking good now, just thought I'd post an update on it. Cheers for the help on these sort of shapes folks. :) Will take it into ZBrush later and add some creasing, etc. to the leather parts
It all depends really, if your running into a triangle or ngon that is stopping a loop from following through, you could always just quad that tri out if it allows your loop to flow in the direction you want it. I manually cut support loops for more complex shapes every now and then, but i always check constrain to edge…
I'm trying some highpoly shapes. But I'm stuck with this one. I want it to have a smooth curve and an intrusion. To harden the corners etc of the intrusion the curve becomes disorted. Maybe someone has a suggestion on how to solve this :) ?
It depends on the level of details your are able to put in your Low poly, even your LOD's , from what distance it might be seen, Etc... here I would draw a box , delete the bottom and add thickness to it.
Ok less geo sounds like a really good approach i mean i can add more geo later if i need it while maintaining a stable poly flow without artifacts etc. Thanks :)
its pretty much the same, seams where fiddly but they are on realy chainmaills too, so i left them open and cleaned them by hand or made some small stitch areas then i then puzzled in to fix holes etc.
