not really a sculpt, started a new project gonna be hard surface mostly but i wanted a female head base to build off of. 4 hours in maya 2010 without plugins. Neox: beautiful but you do the most incredible children man....and i mean nothing perverted by that -Woog
This is really impressive, just the complexity of the shapes you're creating really feels like a boolean without the penalty of unusable topology. I was looking at remesh tutorials online but they were inconclusive when it came to using it for hard surface modeling. Can you share a little info about your workflow?
pixelmitherer: I love the general head but I need to ask was that one made in mudbox or zbrush? I still cant figure out how to sculpt really nice defined hard edges VIA zbrush yet. All my edges keep coming out blobish still :\ Looking Ace otherwise
Guess this fits in this thread since I f'*** up the symmetry (head and hands, resym won't work properly) and wont finish it. Anatomy is hard, knees are impossible and female calfs are alien. Basemesh (1174 polys .OBJ) if anyone wants: http://depositfiles.com/files/n5se6ikx1 And ZBrush specific tool (.ZTL) with ready…
hmmmm who does he remind me of`? can't say but i somehow think i know that face i'd personally try to balance out the hard and soft and detailled and stylized forms, right now its hard to see the direction you want to move in, you have some really hard and stylized shapes and then the rough contrast to the smooth but…
Not entirely sure this counts as a "speed model" per se, but it did only take about 4 hours from sculpt to textured low poly. I'll delete it if it doesn't fit the thread criteria, but it's going in WAYWO too. Was done for a facial animation test I was working on with a programmer friend. Never went anywhere, but I kinda…
I'm working on sculpting human heads. Here's what I have so far, if anyone can critique me (even though what I have is rough right now) on what I have/can improve I'd greatly appreciated it, I'm not going for hyper real, but I'm also not going to fight every comment I get. Also the lips and eyes are giving me a hard time.
I need to try, I've have no traditional art background besides a heavy on in Photography but that doesn't help with sculpting and painting. Do you at all? And also how do you get those eyes, I cannot seem to do any eyes well. Hell I'm struggling with getting the shape of the head to even look 1/6th normal... Then again I…
hey ravenslayer: thanks for the overpaint, i'll take the time to answer you a bit more i totally know what you mean, chris definitely has some designs with the eyes more far apart, but i tend to disagree that it looks better in your overpaint. In chris' designs with the eyes more far apart, which i already tested a bit, it…
i dissagreee, be hard on yourslef seph!!! i beat myself up daily, and thats the reason i grow and question everything i do artisticly! When you get comfy and stop asking why, is when you grow stail and get outdated. You need to seriously look at perportions and compare. Find a photo, download xnview, set it to always on…
