yeah. I am not sure how Faogen exports the vert color either. I have definitively baked vert color from polypaint no problem at all before in Xnormal, so I am almost sure that both xnormal and maya are unable to read what Faogen exports. If anyone has experience with this I would love to know how this works with Faogen…
That's one of the new things I wanna add for xn4, yep. For xn3 it's almost impossible without changing the complete program. I don't know about Modo but Maya should work because if you export the models from Maya using the SBM format(with the export tangent basis option enabled) the Maya's tangent basis will be used ( yep,…
Im getting the same problem as cptSwing; ever since installing the new 3.18 official release, the Max sbm exporter has been causing major issues with bakes. Reverting only the Max exporter to the older 3.17 version temporarily fixed the problem (as well as just baking with obj low poly), however I get errors everytime…
The file was exported from zbrush, i dont think it really has much as far as advanced options when exporting. Actually watching it i dont think its a ram problem at all. It only gets up to about half usage.
What I tried to do was convert my edit poly to edit mesh, then cloned it. Then I used projection to make a cage and clicked export cage. So I can't use the export cage option, I have to use a different model ?
n-gons present ? Try to triangulate it before exporting and see what happens. Is your HP mesh tagged as visible in xN? What version of xN are you using, pls? Did you use an old version of Blender or 3dsmax to export the OBJ?
xNormal exporter hangs-up when there is FlatIron modifier in the stack! Watch for this issue. 3DS Max 2011 x64, win 7 x64, xNormal SBM Exporter Stack(from top to bottom): Unwrap UVW (ch1) FlatIron (ch1) Editable Poly
nothing, in maya you cant edit your invisible edges, when you export its probably just triangulating automatically not respecting the way its triangulated in maya, i triangulate the low rez model i bake before i export to xnormal. our engine usually does an okay job of exporting in our format, but if it looks messed up i…
