I have to agree with regards to specs, sub 1k and no normals is what this thread is for. Make your own thread if your model doesn't fit ;) Now, less talk about specs and more art ppl.
After the color correction, you could also add some painted shadows on it. This is a exemple of what I am talking about: Of course it depends where it gonna be located...(e.g. inside a cave, under sunlight)
Ah, that's what dabeatz was talking about ^^ Very stylish, snipergen - guess it's a blast to work on stuff like that ! would love to get some wires and textures for the pieces. And maybe even more stuff from the game ?
influenced by the default hgn_interceptor i made a heavy-version homeworld2 for all who don´t know what i´m talking about :) tried to fake the hw2 texture style edit: spacey .. this´s sooo coool
You talking about that line down the middle? If so, it's a little bit of black near the seem, and when it reflects, it looks doubly dark. Just lighten up the part of the texture right next to the seem and you should be fine.
We need that workshop #4!!!! If anyone knows who I could talk to to suggest a topic for it lemme know. It would be really awesome to do a hand painting workshop especially since there seems to be a burst of interest in it lately. edit: that's pretty hilarious
ohh,l see. just like i do :P i wish there was another way to make it. I reader i review of some artist talking about the the version of 3D-Coat. It come with a new paint system, i have to try it.
Guys, does anyone know a site or a good way to get references from the 3D models from RE2/R3 PS One? I'm talking about someone post with the models in prints or in 3D for reference, or if someone have the rip models. Thanks forward.
That's a good article, but that stuff appears to be about triangle stripping, which is relevant, though I was talking about rendering cost. I tested, honestly none of them shade that prettily :P but the long thin strips definitely appear to create more artefacts for me.
Should have been a 3DS game, but every publisher we talked to never wanted that kind of game, so it's still a mockup... :( Like your spline demo! It makes me remember good 'ol times I spent doing that kind of racetracks for that project... :D
